The Info Your After

I am interested in hair extensions. How do I know what method is right for me?

Typically, for new clients, I will book you in for a complimentary consultation to go over all of your options. I take into consideration your lifestyle, hair goals, and hair type before recommending the best approach for you.

There are many factors that go into choosing the right hair extension method, as every client has different hair and unique goals. I offer a variety of methods to suit each individual while always keeping the integrity and health of your natural hair at the forefront.

At the end of your consultation, you will be provided with a few recommended methods, length options, and a personalized quote. You’ll also receive all the information you need to decide if hair extensions are right for you. Consultations are always complimentary, and there is absolutely no obligation.

How do I know how much hair I will need?

This depends on your hair goals. If you are looking for added fullness, I typically recommend a “half head,” which is usually between 50 to 100 grams of hair.

If you are looking for length, fullness, and a more dramatic transformation, I would recommend a “full head,” typically between 150 to 200 grams.

This can vary from client to client, and if you have a specific budget in mind, I will always do my best to help you achieve your goals within your budget.

How do I choose the right color for my hair extensions?

I will help you with this. I can customize almost any color or color combination to create the perfect match for your hair.

I work with amazing suppliers who can custom blend shades, allowing me to create virtually any color imaginable. Hair extensions can even be used to create highlights, balayage effects, or fun fashion colors without applying chemicals directly to your natural hair.

Hair extensions are a great option for clients wanting a fresh new look without traditional coloring services.

Are hair extensions damaging?

Hair extensions can cause damage if they are not properly installed, maintained, or cared for at home. That’s why choosing the right method and following proper maintenance is so important.

I do offer damage-free methods, and I work closely with my clients through regular maintenance appointments to ensure their natural hair remains healthy and stress-free.

Hair extensions can actually be a great way to grow out a bad haircut, add confidence, or help with thinning hair and hair loss when done correctly. Many of my clients have successfully worn extensions for years while maintaining healthy natural hair.

How long between maintenance appointments?

This depends on the method chosen and your lifestyle. Some methods require maintenance every 6 weeks, while others can last up to 5 months before needing maintenance or replacement.

Certain methods allow the hair to be reused for up to 1 to 2 years, while others may need replacing every 3 to 5 months. This depends on factors such as your hair growth, home care routine, washing frequency, and the method installed.

How do I wash and care for my hair extensions?

Home Care Guide

Washing & Conditioning

Before washing, always gently brush your hair with a soft bristle brush. Apply conditioner to the ends first before shampooing the roots to help prevent tangling.

I recommend using professional salon-quality products designed for color-treated hair and avoiding products that contain heavy oils, silicones, sulfur, or glycerin.

When washing, keep the hair flowing downward and gently lather before rinsing thoroughly.

Apply conditioner mainly to the mid-lengths and ends, avoiding the attachment areas. Pat dry gently with a towel and never rub the hair aggressively.

Detangling & Brushing

Use a professional leave-in conditioner on the mid-lengths and ends only. Avoid the attachment areas.

Always begin brushing from the ends and work your way upward while gently supporting the extension bonds to prevent unnecessary tension.

Styling

For best results, allow the hair to air dry about 75% before blow drying when possible. This helps preserve the quality and longevity of the hair.

Always use moderate heat and never exceed 380°F with hot tools. A professional thermal protectant is highly recommended.

Avoid allowing hot tools to touch the attachment areas, as this can weaken or melt the bonds.

What kind of hair do you use?

I offer two different types of hair to suit different budgets and hair textures.

Indian Remy Hair

My Indian Remy hair is graded at 6A quality and works beautifully for clients with naturally wavy or curly hair textures. It is also a great option for clients looking for a more affordable installation with faster ordering times.

With proper care, this hair typically lasts between 6 to 12 months.

Premium Russian Remy Hair

My premium hair is top-quality Russian Remy hair with a smoother, silkier texture. This hair is ethically sourced through European suppliers and is fully cuticle-intact, meaning it remains in its most natural state.

This premium hair can be custom blended to perfectly match your color and can last up to 2 years with proper care.

I proudly source this hair through my sister company, Wholesale Hair Canada.
